Reviews
Personally I love this hotel. I stay here every time I visit Montreal. The staff is always great and the location is fantastic. I always get a room facing the water and Ferris wheel so the views are great. I've only been in the winter time so I've not been able to check out the rooftop but one day I will. The rooms are always clean and stocked with great soaps and lotions. I love that they turned an old leather factory into a hotel and maintained some of the bones from that building.
It nice and clean and service is great. But some rooms are on the first floor facing the street. And with the cobblestones that make up the road it is very noisy. Plan for earplugs in case you end up on the first floor. If otherwise it's a great place.
Edit: I see in other reviews that the other rooms had additional amenities, like robes and slippers (which they advertise). No such luck for us. And the floors are hardwood, so do tend to be cold. So you might want to enquire about those before just accepting any room they offer.
The true nature of a hotel is not in taking care happy customers but caring about the unhappy ones. Marina is not only drop dead gorgeous but also helped remedy a situation that could have had me in tears. There was a misunderstanding with my reservation, which may or may not have been my fault, (my husband said I was confusing and changed my mind on the phone several times when I called) but they chose to take care of us nonetheless. We have an amazing room and I am absolutely thrilled. Dinner in the restaurant for Christmas Eve was delicious and the view is unparalleled. There is good reason this hotel has an outstanding reputation. Highly recommend.
Pure Bliss. An elegant stay in the heart of old Montreal. Steps away from restaurants and shops. The views of the river are picturesque and only a 10 min walk to the Basilica.
The bedding alone is worth every penny, but the service of the staff pushes this hotel into the realm of heavenly.
We love the Auberge! It's in the perfect location for a stay in the most interesting part of Montreal, just a short walk from the cruise ship terminal. Quick, easy check-in and we were kindly welcomed even though we arrived early. Spacious, quiet room, generous amenities, bathrobes, reading lamps, coffee service, charging ports, bluetooth speaker, and meticulous housekeeping. The building was an old warehouse, and some of the most interesting details were preserved without sacrificing comfort. I spent some quiet time working on my next novel. Thanks to the amenable staff for the warm welcome.
Perfect location! Located in old Montreal, we were within walking distance of so many shops, restaurants and attractions! The old port was right across the street, a lovely place for a walk! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. This is a wonderful old building, with character and quirks, but modern amenities. The shower, with rain head and multiple body sprays was a treat. Auberge de Vieux Port was the perfect combination of sophistication and luxury with a relaxed friendly vibe.
Right in the middle of Old Montreal it's a perfect location! We only had one night to spend in Montreal so this was great. We were surrounded by restaurants and amazing architecture.
We were in a separate building than the main hotel because we reserved a loft. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger loft. It was amazing!!!! We wanted to stay longer!
Service is amazing, the people at the front desk are so kind and can help with anything you need. Valet drivers were the same.
If you're going to Montreal, choose this hotel!
Amazing! The hotel, the location, the staff, the food and the ambiance are perfect! I would rather stay here in this quaint, high class, kind, boutique hotel than in the sky scraper Four Seasons!!! Truly! Maud, Victoria, Yves and Bleze were in particular helpful, patient and friendly. The location especially with a room on the river side is quiet with a beautiful view. As other reviewers have said - don’t miss the terrace for a cocktail or dinner!
